• Reboot your computer. Ensure your machine shuts down all the way, then turn it back on.
  • Ensure everything is powered ON and connected properly. 
  • Gather some information on your computer such as:
    • Is this a School computer or your own personal one?
    • What operating system are you using? 
    • What browser are you using if applicable? Internet Explorer/Safari/Chrome/Firefox/Other?
    • When did the problem begin and were any changes applied to your system(s) immediately prior?
  • What is the exact error message if there is one? Please write this down or capture it in a screenshot is possible.
  • Most importantly you need to be in front of the computer (with the issue) when you call.

Families/students are responsible for providing their own computer systems to work on. Below you will find a list of minimum technical requirements needed on your computer for maximum compatibility with our learning management system and associated software that we use.

Please note that some browsers may not render content adequately depending on the plugins installed on individual computers or restrictions imposed on such by pop up blockers, virus scanners or firewalls.

Software:   
    

    Microsoft Office 2000, XP, 2003, or 2007® or compatible software (such as OpenOffice) for word processing, creating and reading spreadsheets, and creating presentations. You will not be able to complete school assignments if your software cannot open and save files using Microsoft Word, Excel®, and PowerPoint® formats.
    Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® — Version 9 or higher
    Adobe® Flash® Player — Version 10 or higher
    Windows Media® Player — Version 11 or higher
    Java - Version 6+

Internet Connection:
    

    High speed connection (e.g. Cable, DSL)

You are responsible for obtaining an Internet service provider.  Connectivity issues due to ISP bandwidth limiting or interference are not within the control of SCIDES.  If you experience such issues, please contact your ISP.

Your teacher's name will be on your course page in MOODLE, and your teacher will send you a welcome email. You can also look at the Contact Us page on our website. Here you will see a list of the courses we offer and the name of the instructor who teaches each course.
