Step 3: Grades 8 and 9 Student Learning Plan and Responsibilities Agreement

Our program has two options:

Option A: Full time with SCIDES (we are the new school of record), or

Option B Cross-enrolled (stay enrolled in current school of record, taking only one or two courses at SCIDES)

Please complete a Student Learning Plan (aka SLP) for the grade and program option you are applying for. This is a draft SLP of the courses we will cover together this year.

Once the registration package is complete, your grade 8 and 9 SCIDES Advisor will connect with you, and together you will make the necessary SLP personalization’s for your family needs and values (this is a dynamic document, continuously changing).

Included in this document you will also find the SCIDES Responsibilities Agreement which outlines the expectations of our program.

See the link below to obtain a copy. Please send in this SLP and Agreement to SCIDES, once signed, using one of the options listed above.

Step 4: Contact SCIDES to speak to an Advisor about your program ASAP

Our program is flex paced, however, you need to have "a pace." Evidence of active engagement may include the successful completion of a part or whole unit, or connecting with your teacher(s), such as responding to teacher emails and feedback in a timely fashion.

**Once we have all your registration pieces, an email will been sent to you with instructions on how to access your new online course(s). Please check both your Inbox and your Junk mailbox for this email ASAP**

**All future correspondence will be sent to the email you provided on the application form, so please be sure to check your email frequently**
